Fat Tire Guides, launches a new website with FREE comprehensive trail guide information specific to Wisconsin Mountain Bike Trails.

Fat Tire Guides announces the launch of its mountain bike trail guide website specific to Wisconsin’s singletrack trails. Visitors have access to an unprecedented amount of information, including GPS mapping, digital photography, video and narratives from FTG staff.
“We’ve been discouraged over the years with the lack of information for singletrack trails in Wisconsin. Information is limited and if available, it’s scattered and difficult to find. “We’ve created fattireguides.com to give viewers a one-stop resource to help find trails, but also give them a visual description through narratives, video clips and photos to help them decide if the trail system matches their skill level,” says the Fat Tire Guides owner, Mark Barden. “We are amazed at the amount and variety of trail systems in the state. We want people to use this site not only locate trails, but also as a tool to explore the state and what it has to offer, " says Barden.
A general trail listing of all know existing singletrack trails along with trail information including a brief descriptions, trail fees, trail location and trail contact information is provided. Selected trails have detailed via the Fat Tire Guides' Trail Matrix which consists of easy-to-read trail maps showing points of interest such as trail heads, water, park entrance, and 'hot single track'. Helmet cam and stationery video footage along with photos give the rider a solid feel of the trail. Links on how to get there, 10-day weather forecasts, printable trail maps and downloadable GPS data are also included.
The founders of Fat tire Guides, Gary and Mark Barden, are brothers who grew up in Wisconsin and have been riding it’s mountain bike trail for the last 15 years. In the spring of 2007 they began collecting data on these trails in an effort to make the mountain biking community aware of the outstanding single track that Wisconsin has to offer.
Through the site, Fat Tire Guides is supporting the mountain biking community by contributing a percentage of Wisconsin Off Road Bicycling Association (WORBA). The money donated by Fat Tire Guides will help WORBA continue it’s success in providing riders with well maintained and new mountain biking trails here in Wisconsin.
